04 · About the orchestra

A legacy with
living presence

The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra grew from the broadcasting orchestra active in Jerusalem in the late 1930s. Over the decades it became one of Israel's leading classical music institutions.

Its repertoire reaches from Baroque and Classical music to Romantic works and contemporary composition. The orchestra has also played an important role in the development of Israeli musical culture and in presenting new works to local audiences.

1938 History is not treated as decoration. It remains part of the orchestra's current voice.
05 · The sound of heritage

Architecture
becomes music

The organ pipe rhythm becomes a recurring visual motif. It suggests music, sacred architecture, acoustic space and vertical Jerusalem stone forms without relying on literal city landmarks or familiar musical symbols.

Jerusalem

The typography changes script while the proportions, spacing, hierarchy and visual restraint remain consistent. Each language receives equal dignity within the identity.
